Lake Whitney State Park
Whitney, Texas
Our first official RV adventure for 2017 was a weekend spent camping at Lake Whitney State Park. While camped at Lake Whitney State Park we were set up in the Sunset Ridge camping loop which is in my humble opinion the very best place to camp at Lake Whitney State Park.
Trail Notes
What we noticed on the ground
Our first official RV adventure for 2017 was a weekend spent camping at Lake Whitney State Park. While camped at Lake Whitney State Park we were set up in the Sunset Ridge camping loop which is in my humble opinion the very best place to camp at Lake Whitney State Park. I had a “run in” with a park official who attempted to ban my use of my mobility scooter. BB and I were still able to tour the whole of Lake Whitney State Park on the scooter.
Field notes: Field coverage sourced from Dude RV campground map video embeds; no invented site intel.

Campnab
Want the best campsite?
I do too.
I want the right site, on the right dates — not just whatever happens to be left when I make the reservation.
That's why I use Campnab.
I tell Campnab the campground, my dates, and the sites I'm looking for. If one of those sites opens up, Campnab lets me know.
Then it's up to me to grab it through the campground's reservation system.
Campnab doesn't book the campsite for me. It watches for the opening so I don't have to.
👉 Have Campnab watch for your campsite.
